ICP Metal Analysis
We currently use the latest technology in our metals laboratory. The Spectro Cirrus CCD Inductively Coupled Argon Plasma (ICP) allows for detection of parts per billion (ppb) and some parts per trillion (ppt) levels of various metals in groundwater. This technology allows Chemserve to rapidly analyze your samples while minimizing the potential for reporting of a false interference.

Graphite Furnace
Chemserve utilizes a Perkin Elmer 5100 Zeeman graphite furnace to analyze low level ppb analysis for drinking water metal contaminants.

Gas Chromatography
We have several gas chromatographs (GC’s) for various organic analyses. Our detection capabilities include Electron Capture (ECD), Flame Ionization (FID), and Thermal Conductivity (TCD). We use this technology for Pesticide, PCB, Methane, % Water, Petroleum Hydrocarbon, and various specialized analyses.

Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectroscopy
We also utilize several GC/MS’s for low level organic detection. Our capabilities include soil and aqueous purge and trap technology, and direct injection techniques. Some of the analyses performed on these instruments include Volatile Organic analysis on drinking water, wastewater, ground water, soil, sludge, and solid samples. We also perform SemiVolatile Organic analysis on similar matrices.

Ion Chromatography
Chemserve uses Dionex technology to analyze various Anions in water and solid samples. Chemserve is one of the few New England EPA laboratories certified for Perchlorate analysis.

High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)
Our HPLC capability includes UV/VIS, ElectroChemical, Fluorescence detection. Sample analysis includes Formaldehye, PAH’s, Glycolic Acid, EDTA, and several specialized, custom developed techniques.
